West Beach Family Beauty - 2 Bed Home

Filthy on arrival, basics we had to buy ourselves, and repeated messages to get a late checkout Positive: The bed was the only saving grace. Negative: Everything else really fell short of expectation. Cleanliness really needs to improve. Electric kettle had yellow black stained at the base. Dirty cookware such as pot (even with broken handle), frying pan etc. Hot kitchen tap water ran yellowish with rust tinge. All air vents in the house were thick with dust. Fan in toilet blowing out black debris. Toilet roll - only two and a half used rolls provided. Laundry washing machine was very dirty and no detergent provided. Outer metal grille door spoiled and can't be locked. Sofa was sunken. Floor does not feel clean or mopped. So, we had to buy our own new electric kettle, frying pan, in-house slippers, toilet roll, laundry detergent, cleaning sponge etc. and donated all these to the host after we checked out. And checkout was equally disappointing. Messaged the host early about late checkout on day one. We were informed late checkout is only given for 2 hours and need to message again one day prior to leaving. Fair enough, we accepted that. The day before our last day, we messaged again to ask for the late checkout. The reply was yes, 12 pm checkout would be okay, but we were asked to message again on the last day early morning itself. How many times do you need me to message?! Why is it so difficult to arrange with the team? It is just a short 2 hours from the official 10 am checkout time for goodness' sake. And to our horrible surprise, we were told that we were welcome to check out at 11 am instead of 12 pm. That's fine, so we checked out at 10:45 am. This is really my worst stay as a long-time Booking.com Genius guest.

Positive: Location excellent. Across road from the beach. We saw pods of dolphins in the morning. Cafes 1 street away.

Great location close to the beach and also West Beach sports complex short walk down the street. Positive: Great location . Close to the beach and able to walk to the sports facilities for a SAPSASA event. Unit was clean and location was also quiet. Good layout for the unit and also kitchen was well appointed and washing machine in good clean order. Negative: Nothing
